Our Services

Our Centre provides multiple services to help workers.

EDUCATION

Workers are better protected if they know their rights! We provide educational seminars about workplace issues at our centre and across the city.

ADVOCACY and PEER SUPPORT

We advocate for better employment laws, working conditions, unpaid wages, and workers’ rights. We provide volunteer and leadership training to encourage peer support and self-advocacy.  We provide a safe space and facilitate employment related support groups.

PHONE-IN and DROP-IN INFORMATION SERVICES

Workers receive individualized information and problem solving strategies on specific employment issues (for example: employment standards, occupational health information or human rights).  Referrals to other community services and/or government services are also made.
